Homesick is a normal feeling!
Some possible signs that what you are feeling could be homesickness:
-constantly thinking about home
-feeling different from others who seem to be having a good time
Things that might help!!!
Make your new home feel like home.
Give yourself time to adjust, be kind and patient to yourself
Don’t expect everything to fall perfectly into place straight away
Keep your expectations realistic ( intro week may not be one big party)
Keep in touch with home(but not too much) and plan a visit home for the future
Keep healthy, exercise regularly
Explore!! Find things you love about your school, take pictures and post, find your favorite place to study, the best place to eat etc.
Get involved in campus activities and clubs, focus on classes
Talk about your feelings rather than ignore them or drown them in alcohol
